Driving After Dark in Bali
Bali does not stop when the sun sets. A private driver for evening and night travel is also a safety matter. Roads in Bali can be poorly lit, directions unclear, and scooter traffic heavier than expected after dark. Having a driver who knows the roads means you focus on your evening rather than navigating.
The night surcharge of Rp 100.000 is a one-off flat fee added to your base service rate on any day or evening that includes driving past 10 PM. If your Kecak tour ends at 7:30 PM and you are back before 10 PM, no surcharge. If you stay for a long Jimbaran dinner and return at 11 PM, the surcharge applies once regardless of how late.
